Øyafestivalen 2005 Uploaded
First is Animal Alpha, taken from the stage pit. Might call this one a selfportrait since I'm in it myself (bottom left). The other photo is girl I spotted at Death From Above concert, she absolutely rock!
Great concert with Hot Hot Heat (played great), same can be said about Franz Ferdinad.
Satyricon was the best "photoopt" concert, a lot of great scenes, great weather and well rock & roll.
Not as good as I expected, but I'm happy I saw Sonic Youth.. Turbonegro was rocking!
Here is our Livefoto team, working in our office. Thomas,Bjørn, Magnus, Amund and Terje (Pål Hoff took this photo!)
Our photowall at the festival area, we updated this wall with new photos from the concerts, and sold them for 100,- 300,- a pop.
The festival was great, weather was a bit bad on thursday but pretty good the rest of the time. We had absolutely fantastic photoaccess this year, with an all-access pass even backstage, onstage, infront of the stage etc. Really made it a lot easier to cover so many bands in the short time we had.
Will remember the festival for the good food, the amont of beer consumed and the great music that was played. Rock on!

The Model
Hey!
I just wanted you guys to meet the latest model I work with. His name is Xandor, the nicest guy I've worked with. He is wooden and not very flexible but that doesn't hold him back.
Check out some pictures in the gallery of his work
Cheers!
Canon 5D New Camera
Finally ordered the new Canon 5D camera. Delivery will be in October, can't wait to use it.
Hopefully, the good people at Canon will let me test use a demo model of the camera this week.
What I expcet (read: hope):
* Greatly improved AF system, 5D has a different one called ETTL-CT-CIR
* Better AWB, on pair with 1D MkII
* Less noise (mostly confirmed from reviews, about 1 level better than 20D)
* Fulllllll Fraaaaame
* 12,8mpixels will give me more room in processing and more detail in prints
* HUGE viewfinder with more information like ISO
* C Mode (enables me to put custom function like mirror-lock-up to a mode)
* 3fps instead of 5fps, but a much bigger buffer (which is what I really need)
* More Dynamic Range (more details in shadows/highlights due to pixel density/size)
* ISO50 expanded (85mm/1.2 on a sunny day will love this)
* The Image Parameters will enable me to slack off and just shoot some "boring shots" with high contrast/sharpness, and skip photoshop processing alltogheter
* and several other improvements!
Woohoo!

Øya Club day
The first day of Øya was fun, I think there was more than 60 concerts alltogether.
Light was a challenge, and I managed to break my 550Ex.. But apart from that, there was a lot of good music, and nice photo-ops.
Pocket Wizard - A lesson learned
This is the saddest photo I've ever taken. You might not see it, but it's taken from 4meter above the main stage at Øya festivalen, the camera was mounted with a magic arm, and focused exactly how I wanted it... Not long ago I got my pocketwizard system, and this was suppose to be my first run with it..
Turbonegro was the band, it was the main attraction yesterday, I had talked to the band, management and label, getting all *OK* to mount camera, and shoot from stage during concert, and photopit. The concert was awesome, and I really though I had taken several fanstastic photos using the remote control (pocketwziard).. I must have taken about 300-400 photos, or at least so I thought.. Until I realized at the end of the concert that the "red" drive light wasn't blinking (I'm on stage shooting with a second 20D body, and the camera is mounted high above the band aiming at center stage/audience)..
Turns out I didn't turn off power-save-mode .... So the camera turned itself off even before the band hit the stage... ARRRRRRgh!
So here it is, my test setup shot.. :-/
Øya Festival!
Looking forward to see Terje´s pictures from Øya Festival!!!!
Today was great! so many good bands!!

Øyafestivalen about to begin!
Woohoo! Today the øyafestivalen will finally start. This is one of the biggest norwegian festivals, and this year will bring: Sonic Youth, Turbonegro, Franz Ferdinan among others..
We will be covering the festival from the photopits, stages, festival area and nightclubs..
New this year will be a big photowall that we've put right beside the entrence, we'll keep it updated with photos from concerts and festival area. Prints will be sold at 100 NOK a piece.
I can't wait to get started with testing the PocketWizard wireless system, my plan is to mount it on the stage, drumset, ceiling or whereever, and fire away from the photopit. Hopefully this will bring some interesting angles where both the band AND the audience will show.
More updates on this later.
PS: The Slash photo was taken at the velvet reveolver concert at Øya 2004.
Canon releases updated 20D firmware
Canon has just released a new firmware for the 20D camera..
No major fixes or features, though they finally came around fixing the EOS Capture problem when using RAW+Jpeg.
2.0.0 fixes support for the wifi module, which retails for about $1400 ...
At the mental instituion...
Meet Roddy Morrison, a golfer & computer freak. This was taken at a golf course in Campbell River (Canada). He's driving at hole 4, he has an awesome drive by the way.
The next time he played this course, he made a hole in one on hole 9! Congratultions Roddy!
The selective saturation was made simply because his body looked like a straigh jacket, one of those jacks they use in metal institutions.. I find this photo little bit creepy, what about you?
Do you get the same feeling?
This picture was taken after a consert with Agains Me.
i dont know about you but, i realy can identify myself with his look and body language witch says:
"mmm.. Beeer.... "
Canon 5D ?
I spotted this on the dpreview today: Canon 5D. If it's true or not, I don't know. But it sure looks interesting. At the bottom you can see 430Ex being mentioned. Just like last year about this time, they released the Canon 20D + 580Ex and 10-22mm Wide angle EF lens.
If it's true:
1Ds MkII will fall considerbly in price
It doesn't have weather sealing
Nice to finally get a decent full-frame body at a OK price.
No new DIGIC chip
Still uses DIGIC II, low production cost for sure.
We'll see in about 2 weeks time.
I know I won't upgrade.

Not far behind, in 5th place was my entry.
Uploading
Finally I uploaded some more photos to my "People" album. Congrats with the blue DPC ribbon Terje!
DPChallenge Room Challenge
I finally got around to enter another DPchallenge challenge. This time the challenge was room. My entry won a blue ribbon. Woohoo!
The photo was taken down at the Oslo trainstation National Teateret last friday. After about 20 shots, I was stopped by a security guard and that was about it. Had to leave, but had this nicely tucked in my camera.
Take off Front Page
We finally got around adding a new frontpage. The photos on the right are highlight of the photographers albums, so they will be changed dynamically. Hopefully we'll be able to keep this front page reguarly updated with new photos, photo of a day, tutorials, or whatever we feel like. Hope ya like it!

After Reading
For this image I try to show that what was read in the book remains in the reader's mind. That's why the glasses have the reflection of the book, for me it's a way to show that the glasses are full of knowledge just like the reader.
The story behind the shot
Originally this photo was shot for an Icelandic bank. The models were wearing swimsuits, the laptop is turned of and for safety reasons we removed the battery, and those of you who think the expression on their faces tell's they're having sex... You're way off. The idea was to advertise the bank's laptop loans for students. For some reason the bank's marketing people found it inappropriate and chose another one so this photo has only been published in my portfolio. The other photo they chose never got to my portfolio as I don't consider it amog the best of my work... But hey that's life.
A nice Moment..
Walked around in Trondheim with my friend Stian, when i saw these two beutifull old peolpe sitting there watching this old house.. nice moment.
